The Indiana Museum of Art announced that its technology department will be taking a new, consultative approach to its engagement with peer institutions and other members of the non-profit arts community. Known as the IMA Lab, the technology team “…will spearhead innovations in museum technology by consulting to other museums and not for profits on digital projects”. Read more here.
They have already developed many innovative uses of technology including an informative and fun blog. I have also mentioned one of my favorites, ‘Art Babble’ before. The Dashboard that they have developed to track data like museum visits, endowment, and even energy consumption is very impressive. This is definitely an institution to keep an eye on!
